Matin was founded in 2004 by Christina and Robert Odegard in Los Angeles, California. In addition to Christina's fine jewelry, the couple collaborate on making sculptural objects from their home in Laurel Canyon. On occasion Matin has presented work by a small group of distinguished contemporary artists, Kirsten Coelho, Jos Devriendt, Marie Herwald Hermann, Taizo Kuroda, Shio Kusaka and Edmund de Waal. The made to order furniture by John Pawson, and the After Rietveld crate furniture is handcrafted by Jeff Jamieson at Wood & Plywood Furniture.
